In a joint initiative between established travel management company Business First Partnership (BFP) and entertainment travel specialist Dan Horton (previously of TAG), January 2023 sees the launch of Music First Partnership (MFP), a new service and technology driven travel management company specifically for global music and entertainment tours.
In the 25 years they have been active, Business First Partnership have counted music industry heavyweights amongst their clientele and their efficiency and attention to detail has attracted the discerning super-star, but they have never sought to focus on the industry specifically, until new recruit Dan Horton thought they could offer the industry something it was missing.
Dan explains: “BFP are a hugely successful name in the travel world and provide an outstanding service to their clients, their innovative technology and ambitious leadership team are the perfect fit for laying the foundations for MFP, they, like me, are renowned for going above and beyond and that’s just not something you see anywhere else right now.”
Nigel Taylor CEO of Business First Partnership recognises that the industry needs a company committed to significant investment in staff resources and technology, to adapt to the changing demands of each client.
“We have already invested in developing MFP’s own smart software designed around the travel manager and road manager. Interactive dashboards will display complex itineraries, cost against budget and key ground information on the tour destinations. This investment in technology is so important. It’s not an industry that can afford to be using antiquated systems, it’s a fast-paced demanding environment and MFP’s job will be to wholly support that.”
Of course, technology cannot replace people. Dan will be bringing his extensive 15+ years’ experience in the intricacies of touring travel management and the demands that go with it, supported by one of the best service teams in the industry as Nigel proudly explains: “Our company values are such that our staff are well rewarded, and we invest in their growth and development, and I feel honoured to say that we have the most dedicated and committed 24hour service team who will be supporting MFP, alongside the experienced recruits that Dan himself will be handpicking.”
