First European Showing of Brompton Technology’s Dynamic Calibration at ISE 2020

ISE 2020 sees LED processor manufacturer, Brompton Technology, give the first European showing of its Dynamic Calibration technology and launch its latest LED processor, the Tessera S8, on its largest ever trade show stand. The significant size increase of this newly designed stand, which measures 90m2, will allow Brompton to give regular presentations of Dynamic Calibration, the Brompton HDR solution, and the new Tessera S8, alongside its ever-popular demonstration stations.

First shown at LDI 2019 in Las Vegas, Dynamic Calibration takes a unique and revolutionary approach to maintaining uniformity, while unlocking the full potential of the LEDs to achieve previously unthinkable levels of brightness and colour saturation. Dynamic Calibration is the enabling technology for Brompton HDR – brighter whites, higher contrast ratios, more saturated colours, and true-to-life colour accuracy deliver a previously unattainable level of image depth and realism. Together with new, performance-enhancing features such as PureTone and ThermaCal, the overall result is a huge step forward in visual performance.

Dynamic Calibration is enabled after panels are measured with Brompton’s Hydra system; an all-in-one advanced measurement system custom-designed for LED panels and exclusive to Brompton Technology. And Dynamic Calibration is not just for new panels, it can give existing panels using Brompton’s Tessera R2 card a new lease of life.

The new Tessera S8 LED processor, meanwhile, is a cost-effective solution for high profile projects that do not require the large output capacity of the award-winning Tessera SX40 processor, but still want to benefit from the flexibility of Brompton’s industry leading Tessera feature set and easy-to-use software to produce stunning results.

Both the S8 and SX40 provide support for all of Brompton’s ground-breaking features, including HDR and Dynamic Calibration, as well as Ultra Low Latency and High Frame Rates. It offers full 4K60 input support, with eight 1G outputs, each capable of 525K pixels at 60Hz, 8 bits per colour. All of the industry-leading Tessera processing features are also available, such as On-Screen Colour Adjustment (OSCA) for colour mismatch corrections, Dark Magic for dark-area detailing, and ChromaTune for video colour replacement.

“We had an incredible response to Dynamic Calibration at LDI in Las Vegas,” commented Brompton CEO Richard Mead. “We’re excited to be able to show it at ISE for the first time so that we can demonstrate to more of our European customers just what a difference Brompton processing can make to LED screens.”
