Gravity, a brand of the Adam Hall Group, has won the German Design Council’s ‘Special Design Award 2017’ for its microphone stands. Its ‘Special Mention’ rating recognises works whose designs feature especially successful aspects or solutions – an award that honours the commitment of companies and designers.
Gravity premium microphone stands were developed by designers in conjunction with users over an intensive two year period, focussing on design and quality. The technical development objectives were: durable and precise construction, rapid adjustment and comfortable handling due to a non-slip, soft-touch finish. These microphone stands have already proven themselves in many applications worldwide and created a great impression, not least because of their unique G-rings. They are available in a wide range of colours to facilitate personalisation of stands to your taste, or to denote position on the stage. Gravity microphone stands have received numerous awards since their market launch.
The German Design Award is the Design Council’s premium international prize. Its objectives: To discover, present and honour unique design trends. Every year, it presents top-level product and communication design entries, which in their own way, are ground-breaking in the international design landscape. Initiated in 2012, the German Design Award is one of the most-highly acclaimed design competitions in the world.
Robin Henlich, Product Manager, Pro Audio, Stands and Accessories: “Good design is more than just pure aesthetics. Gravity microphone stands are a perfect example of the successful interplay of form and function. We are very proud to have designed a microphone stand which is both robust and stylish.”
