As part of its long-term commitment to sustainability, JLGroup – comprising JLLive and JLLighting – has relocated to a new premises at Verda Park in Wallingford, South Oxfordshire boasting ‘outstanding’ sustainability features.
The move was fuelled in part by Verda Park’s environmentally friendly features, which include being carbon neutral, having an A+ EPC rating and being Breeam rated ‘excellent’.
As technical suppliers to the TV and events industries, JLGroup delivers experiences for businesses who are increasingly seeking to partner with businesses who take a serious approach to reducing their impact on the environment and community.
JLGroup Managing Director, Jack Linaker commented: “From the outset we have been committed to running a business which delivers impact on experience whilst not impacting on the environment and this move is part of us putting our money where our mouth is. We are all delighted to be based in this beautiful new setting and I know we’re going to continue innovating to deliver the best events we can, always mindful of the impact we have on the world around us.”
JLGroup takes sustainability seriously and has won a number of new clients as a direct result, including being selected as the technical supplier to RenewablesUK flagship show in October 2021 and again in June 2022, and delivering for the likes of GSK, Ocado and a number of clients at COP26 in November 2021.
It is committed to achieving the highest environmental standards where possible. It is ESSA accredited in sustainability and partners with beMatrix – the sustainable modular frame system for set builds, exhibitions and trade shows.
As part of its wider commitment to sustainability, JLGroup focuses on renewables and innovation to deliver conference and exhibition sets and stands that are not single use. The business uses low energy LED lighting and technical designs to create sets that maximise the quality of the lighting without simply increasing the quantity. Video walls are also re-usable, as are all the graphics.
