London Remixed Festival Returns

Global music will livestream across two stages, accessible on VR and on PC from 26–27 March 2021.

London Remixed Festival returns on 26 and 27 March 2021 with a global remix special, taking place in Lost Horizon, the world’s largest virtual reality music and arts venue, with a wealth of artists and partners from around the world highlighting the sounds of remixed culture.

Produced by Continental Drifts and Global Local, most years London Remixed is a showcase of the booming UK scene, but this year’s groundbreaking 2021 festival will embrace the digital arena, joining hands with friends across the continents to create a unique music festival moment as it unites music from countries and genres around the world.

London Remixed 2021 is working with UK partners Fire in the Mountain, Front Room Songs, MARSM, Movimientos, Nutkhut / Mela Partnership, Rich Mix Arts Centre Hackney, ShangrilART and Wormfood, alongside international partners, Azadi Records (India), Biche (Colombia) and Snakes X Ladders (Canada), to bring you Egyptian hip-hop, Punjabi folk and many of the things in-between.

Lost Horizon is equally famed for its enormous virtual art gallery curated by ShangrilART. Limited edition prints of some of the works on show will be available to purchase to support our ever growing creative collaborations with contemporary visual artists, with exclusive new work by London Remixed artist in residence Lee Hodges.

This year the free / pay by donation festival is available to experience in full VR and on PC in the immersive world of Sansar, or streaming via Twitch – all details on how to join are available at: www.losthorizonlive.com/londonremixed.

Chris ‘Tofu’ Macmeikan MBE, director of Lost Horizon, Shangri-La, Continental Drifts and Global Local commented: “Bringing London Remixed to Lost Horizon has opened up a world of infinite musical possibilities, and our digital evolution has allowed us to deliver a dream global line up, working with incredible partners in the UK and across the globe to showcase sensational artists from their hometowns. Featuring the world’s first VR Ceilidh, and a VR experience of our iconic Disco Lift, this year’s London Remixed will be a virtual event like no other, capturing the spirit of our real life event and taking it to new levels.”
