NEC Lights Up ISE 2020 with New Laser Projector Launch

NEC Display Solutions Europe is revealing its new PX2000UL laser projector, right on time for ISE 2020. The PX2000UL is NEC’s first projector to use single-chip DLP laser technology at 20,000 lumens brightness level, providing exceptional performance.

Boasting a light output of 20,000 lumens and a 10,000:1 contrast ratio, the PX2000UL is a budget-sensitive projection solution for retail, education, transport, museums and amusement park applications. It delivers high colour performance with a sealed optical system that ensures a dust-free light output.

Using additional red laser enables the PX2000UL to produce more vivid colours than it was ever possible with single-chip DLP projectors.

The projector operates without filters, and is based on liquid cooling. The PX2000UL also operates at low fan noise (43 / 45 dB) and weighs only 54 kg, allowing easy handling and is perfectly usable for flexible or temporary applications.

From June 2020, the PX2000UL will be supported by the ProAssist setup buddy, an application that enables faster and hassle-free installations. The ProAssist tool supports multiple networked projector setups with all professional capabilities, including lens and geometry adjustment, blending, colour uniformity and white balance.

Gerd Kaiser, Senior Product Manager Large Venue and Digital Cinema projection at NEC Display Solutions Europe, said: “Many organisations struggle to deliver crystal-clear image and colour quality in dusty, indoor spaces exposed to ambient lighting. That’s why we’re delighted to reveal the PX2000UL projector, which uses the latest laser technology to give you the most realistic images and richest colours at unprecedented light levels. It even offers this with easier handling, less maintenance and lower costs.”

The NEC PX2000UL laser projector will be available from March this year.
