Cadac is demonstrating its latest CDC six and CDC seven digital consoles at this year’s PLASA Focus exhibition, in Leeds in the UK. The two CDC series medium format consoles are running the latest, enhanced feature set, CDC V4.0 software, while the new CDC seven surface builds further on the success of CDC six, with an expanded dual 23.5 inch, 16:9 hi-definition touch screen, 36 fader configuration.
The combination of the CDC six and CDC seven surfaces with CDC OS V4.0, delivers the most intuitive mix platform to the live sound market. The symbiotic operational advances of the consoles’ 23.5” LCD touch screens and ’touch and swipe’ gesture operation, makes for the most instinctive mixing platform yet devised, and introduces a host of unique ‘human’ capabilities in console operation.
In addition to being the most intuitive mix system on the market, the CDC series is increasingly acknowledged to be the best sounding mixing system ever – analogue or digital. Cadac’s proprietary digital audio protocol ensures unrivalled phase coherence, clarity and an unprecedented through-system propagation delay of just 37 samples (@ 96 kHz), or less than 400?s; not just within the consoles but throughout the entire associated MegaCOMMS audio network architecture, including all console processing and A-D / D-A conversions, from on-stage inputs to outputs.
