Quixote Studios, dubbed “the entertainment industry’s premier studio and equipment rental company” by The Los Angeles Times, has announced investment in products manufactured by AC Power Distribution, Inc. AC Power, which makes UL Listed portable power distribution equipment for film/video, touring and exterior event venues, was recently acquired by ACT Lighting, Inc.
Quixote Studios, which houses offices in West Hollywood, Los Angeles, New Orleans, Atlanta and New York, purchased Camlock Spiders, Camlock to Stage Pin Distribution units, Lunchboxes and Gang Boxes, from AC Power Distribution, Inc. “We needed to increase our inventories in the LA and Georgia markets,” said Jeff Arnone, Vice President at Quixote Studios. “We have been stocking AC Power products for over 10 years. This equipment goes out in pretty much every package we put together.”
“We’re excited and proud to be part of the amazing growth of Quixote Studios,” added James Davey, former President of AC Power and now Vice President of Power Distribution at ACT Lighting. AC Power’s Studio, Stage & Theater (SST) Series of products is well known among entertainment professionals for innovative designs that produce the smallest, lightest, most durable and safest models in the industry. Products are made from the highest-quality components and offer unique features that make users’ jobs safer and easier. “For the last half-dozen years we have been increasing our purchases of AC Power gear,” says Arnone. “We now stock the brand exclusively. AC Power makes superior products, and their support and customer service is second to none.”
