Each modular MUSE 210 element comprises two 10″ custom-designed woofers with 2.5″ high excursion voice coils and two custom 1″ B&C HF compression drivers with 25mm (1″) throats.
The waveguide, optimised via a series of simulations using BEM finite elements to eliminate distortion, it also boasts a horizontal dispersion of 90°.
The waveguide has been designed to present an optimum load to the driver’s diaphragm at800Hz, allowing the propagation of an acoustic wave in the horizontal field up to 18kHz.
The resulting enclosure can contend with even the most challenging of physical environments, delivering an ideal cylindrical source, while the acoustic configuration of the central horn offers a particularly linear and symmetric horizontal dispersion.
FBT has also applied it’s Italian design expertise to the cabinet, creating an enclosure that is equally rugged, practical and stylish.
Constructed from 15mm Birch plywood, each MUSE element incorporates two die-cast aluminium handles and fully integrated hardware.
Up to 16 MUSE enclosures can be flown with ease in a single array.
Each cabinet can be splayed at 1° increment via simple pin adjustments on the integrated fly-ware, from a minimum of 0° to a maximum of 10°.
No matter the application, MUSE brings an easy-to-use functionality and elegant aesthetic to every project.
Fantastic coverage can be achieved thanks to the dispersion characteristic of MUSE – 90° horizontal and 10° vertical per box.
Extended coverage can be achieved by combining multiple boxes in an array and the aforementioned integrated splay system.
To extend the low-frequency performance of a MUSE system, users can benefit from FBT’s matched subwoofers.
MUSE has its own range of subwoofers – the MUSE 118FS or MUSE 118FSC which can be either active or passive and flown or ground stacked.
These subs can be configured in two ways – forward or rearward facing for cardioid configuration when flown or ground stacked thus providing maximum aesthetic appeal as the entire array will look uniform even though the cabinet itself has been reversed.
In addition to the MUSE subwoofers, matched ground only subwoofers are also available in the form of the SUBLine 218 and MITUS 218 which are dual 18″ subwoofers or the Q118 subwoofer which is a single 18″ subwoofer – again all models are available active or passive.
