To celebrate their 25 years of musical success, Spanish duo Estopa is embarking on a tour that is setting new benchmarks in every city they visit. Beyond their distinctive musical style and engaging stage presence, the tour’s standout feature is its impressive stage design, which showcases an extraordinary lighting experience crafted by the skilled Juanjo Beloqui and supported by equipment from Fluge Audiovisuales and Stonex, the Spanish distributors of Claypaky.
After a successful tour across the United States and Latin America, Estopa is now bringing their anniversary celebration to Spanish cities including Valencia, Sevilla, Madrid, and Bilbao. From the grandeur of Civitas Metropolitano to the stunning Ciudad de las artes y las ciencias in Valencia, the tour is offering audiences a breathtaking show, amplified by lighting designs that adapt to each unique venue.
For a tour of this scale, the selection of top-tier equipment is crucial. That’s why Claypaky’s state-of-the-art lighting solutions were chosen to meet the demanding requirements of this milestone event. The tour’s visual impact is a testament to the brilliant lighting design executed by Juanjo Beloqui.
“We have invested significant effort into the programming to ensure that the various lighting fixtures work seamlessly together. Achieving a consistent quality across effects like movement, colour changes, and intensity is crucial to maintain a cohesive visual experience throughout the show,” Beloqui said. “One of the main challenges of this tour has been balancing the LED video screens with the lighting to ensure neither element overshadows the other during the show’s key moments.”
This meticulous approach to lighting design and video integration is what makes the show such a visually captivating experience. The tour features a selection of top-of-the-line Claypaky fixtures, including 48 HY B-EYE K25 and 12 B-EYE K20 models. “I use the B-EYEs as front lights to both illuminate and engage the audience, enhancing every effect and movement on stage,” Beloqui explained. “These fixtures were chosen for their high-quality wash light capabilities, which are essential for both highlighting the performers and supporting the camera work, as we always have a production team on the road.”
