AMG International lights up Afterlife with over 400 CHAUVET Professional Fixtures

The organisers of Afterlife invited fans to embark on “a captivating sensory journey and unique immersive experience,” when promoting their show at the Snai Hippodrome in San Siro, Milan.

Afterlife’s creator Tale of Us performed at the event and was joined by a stellar line-up that featured Mind Against, Massano and Olympe as well as two performances alternating on stage by “Anyma introducing Genesys,” and “Mrak introducing We Don’t Follow.” These DJ sets were not only impeccable; they also captivated with the telling of intimate and visionary travel stories of the musicians behind the decks.

Supporting the DJ performances was an audio and visual production from AMG International that featured mesmerizing videos displayed on 28m high by 40m wide LED walls, and a spectacular lighting design anchored by 410 of the latest generation IP65 LED projectors from CHAUVET Professional, distributed in Italy by Zalight.

Highly regarded for its ability to bring out the best in events of this magnitude, AMG International used 238 COLORado PXL Bar 16 LED motorized battens to create the imposing straight lines which framed the large central LED wall. To add an extra level of magic and power to the lighting design, the bars were also installed on the four side towers.

Connecting the crowd to the performers with intense audience lighting and beguiling them with an array of pixel mapped effects was a collection of 176 Color STRIKE M motorized strobe-washes that were installed on the perimeter of the LED wall and along the vertical edges of the towers. According to AMG International, Color STRIKE M has become the reference fixture for major international tours, thanks to its massive power and unique design that blends an RGB LED panel delivering ultra-saturated colors, and two ultra-bright strobe sources.

The combination of COLORado PXL Bar 16 and Color STRIKE M created a perfect alchemy of power, dynamism and light quality to reflect the aura of Afterlife, which returned to Milan after a five-year hiatus, during which it had a string of huge successes in Paris, New York, Buenos Aires and Mexico City. For the ecstatic fans who embarked on an immersive journey at Snai Hippodrome, it was well worth the wait.
