At the recent LDI tradeshow in Las Vegas, ADJ was presented by PLSN magazine with a Gold Star Product Award in recognition of its design series of LED video panels.
PLSN publisher, Terry Lowe, visited the ADJ booth at the show to present the 2018 Best Innovation In LED Tiles award, which acknowledges the ground-breaking nature of this unique range of LED video panel products to ADJ National Sales Manager, Alfred Gonzales.
The Design Series comprises four modular panels of different shapes that can be connected together in any combination to create video screens of almost any conceivable size and shape. The DS4 (square), DS4T (triangle), DS4QC (quarter circle) and DS4HC (rectangle) can be easily linked together to create eye-catching video walls that fit perfectly with the shape of any venue, stage set or touring rig.
Offering a pixel pitch of 4.8mm, the Design Series panels utilise 3-in-1 SMD2020 LEDs to generate a brightness of 1200 NITS. The panels have a recommended minimum viewing distance of 12.5ft. (3.8m) as well as a wide viewing angle of 160-degrees (horizontal) and 120-degrees (vertical), making them ideal for a wide variety of applications.
On receiving the award, ADJ USA’s National Sales Manager Alfred Gonzales commented: “We are extremely honoured to receive this prestigious award and would like to thank everyone at PLSN for their support and recognition. The Design Series is, without a doubt, one of the most exciting new products that we have launched over the past year and it really does represent innovation in the field of LED video. Using this unique collection of panels, video screens with complex curved and angled shapes can be designed and rigged with ease, opening up a whole new world of creative potential. The Design Series also means that video and stage designers can work together to blend the boundaries between video and set to create incredible results that simply wouldn’t be possible using standard square LED panels.”
On the ADJ booth at LDI the panels were used to spell out the company’s name, which is just one of the ways these creative LED video fixtures can be utilized to combine the disciples of video and set design. And, it’s not just within the AV industry that the Design Series has been attracting attention! The same technique was used by David Jacobi of Cobico Design to spell out #EMMYS in video outside the venue for the 70th Primetime Emmy Awards presentation event in Los Angeles last month.
Another company that is embracing the creative potential of the Design Series is J Thor Productions based in Florida. They have already used their collection of panels to spell out ‘HOPE’ as part of the production for a large-scale charity dinner as well as ‘POT’ at a corporate event for Melting Pot.
The award-winning Design Series of LED video panels, as well as a complete range of accessories, are available now from ADJ worldwide. More information can be found at: www.adj.com/design-series-video-panels
