Alfie King joins RCF UK

Alfie King will now be undertaking a new position at RCF UK.

Joining a small team, and reporting to head of RCF UK, Dean Davoile, his duties will vary from behind-the-scenes admin, accounts and marketing, to front-line sales and customer support in the south of England.

King has already enjoyed a long career in music and production. Starting out playing guitar and harmonica in local bands around Aylesbury in his teens he soon graduated to helping out behind the sound desk at a local arts centre. He then took the academic route, studying Music Technology at college, and later for a BSc. at Birmingham BCU, where places of learning included the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. Upon graduating he combined mixing live sound for local venues with putting in IT infrastructures on the major festival circuit during the outdoor season.

“But I then wanted to get back into the audio industry,” he stated, Leisuretec Distribution offered him that opportunity, where he came into contact with RCF for the first time, visiting the factory in Italy. “Leisuretec was a major customer,” he reflected. “I started in frontline sales and e-commerce and from there I moved to technical sales, remaining there for over five years. I did very well with RCF, and sold a lot of products.”

King then moved to Amber Sound, where he has been sales and marketing manager for the past two years-plus. Explaining his decision to move on, he said, “I had been approached by several other companies over the past year before RCF contacted me. I liked the people at the company, the way their products sounded and their value for money at the different price points. I also liked the way the products were designed, for ease and simplicity of use.”

Welcoming King to the company, Davoile said, “Alfie will be a great addition to the team and I look forward to introducing him to our dealers at the PLASA Show.”
