Audio Performance Introduces New Subwoofers

Audio Performance has introduced two new powerful 2 x 21” subwoofers

The SUB221-C is a high power compact cardioid subwoofer cabinet designed to allow a high attenuation between front & rear faces. Equipped with two 21-inch drivers. One driver is placed in a front direct radiating position and a second in a rear side facing position to create a bandpass configuration.

This system is capable of accommodating up to 4’800W of power continuously. With a cut-off frequency of 30 Hz, the SUB221-C is made for applications where the reproduction of sub frequencies is important and where you have to minimize the rear emission in order to get a higher sound quality and avoid resonances and reflections. (cabinet close to walls or stage at the rear)

The SUB1000 is a high power compact subwoofer cabinet designed to extend the frequency range and power bandwidth of Audio Performance full-range loudspeaker systems. With a cut-off frequency of 22Hz, the SUB1000 is made for applications where the reproduction of sub frequencies is of importance (music, sound effects).

It consists of two long excursion 21-inch ND cone drivers mounted in a heavily braced vented enclosure capable of accommodating up to 4’800W of power continuously.
It operates as a complete system with” the AP44M20 amplifier. When stacking several cabinets is necessary, the direct radiating loading to the SUB1000 provides the optimal use of the coupling effect to increase the low-end sensitivity of a system. The enclosure is black epoxy painted fitted with handles. The front is protected by a heavy-duty metal grill cover with charcoal grey foam. The SUB1000 comes equipped with flying hardware.

Both are available in active and passive versions and feature two long excursion 21-inch ND cone drivers. The active versions offer DSP and networking flexibility.
