AVANTE Audio launches Imperio Pro at NAMM 2024

AVANTE Audio is preparing to launch two new additions to its Imperio Pro line array series at the 2024 NAMM trade show.

The Imperio Pro IMP328 is a 3-way active line array module engineered for medium to large-scale venues, which is designed to pair with the new Imperio Pro IMP218 active dual 18-inch subwoofer. Both products will be showcased at the ADJ Arena Plaza Stage at NAMM 2024. Throughout the show, an eclectic lineup of musicians will perform on the stage, demonstrating the sonic capabilities of the Imperio Pro IMP328 and IMP218.

The Imperio Pro IMP205 is an active line array element that can be utilised in a variety of different configurations to cover a wide range of applications and audience sizes. Combining neodymium components with Class-D digital amplifier modules and advanced 32-bit internal signal processing, it delivers audio fidelity and deployment flexibility for a speaker of its size. Measuring just 12.8″ by 7.3″ by 8.8″, this array module packs in a pair of 5” neodymium low-mid transducers alongside six 1.75” IDVAT (Inverted Dome Vertical Array Technology) high-frequency drivers.

This configuration allows the unit to deliver a frequency response of 100Hz – 20KHz with a horizontal dispersion angle of 100⁰. The unit’s internal Class D 2-way amplifier has a PFC switching power supply and is rated at 440W RMS (1700W peak), which allows it to deliver an impressive maximum output of 128dB (single box measured on Axis @ 1m).

The Imperio Pro IMP218 is an active subwoofer which features dual 18-inch drivers paired with 4-inch voice coils and a high-out port design. It incorporates an active Class-D amplifier capable of delivering 4800-Watts of peak power. The unit delivers an exceptional frequency response of 32 Hz – 130 Hz (-10dB) / 38 Hz-130 Hz (-3dB). It is equipped with a comprehensive DSP that includes selectable crossover frequency, variable delay, and Cardioid / End-Fire presets. As with the array module, all DSP features can be configured directly from the back panel of the unit or remotely from a networked Windows PC.

A wide variety of musical talent will be showcased on the ADJ Arena Plaza Stage throughout each day of the NAMM show, providing visitors plenty of opportunities to hear the Imperio Pro IMP328 + IMP218 system in action.

As the show floor is emptying after NAMM’s first day on Thursday January 25, the Arena Plaza Stage will also be the venue for AVANTE Audio’s sister company ADJ’s Happy Hour event. This two-hour mixer will feature live music from high-octane cover band Grooveline SD. The event will also feature a cocktail bar, providing the perfect post-show chance to relax, unwind and socialise. ADJ and AVANTE Audio dealers and users are invited to join the ADJ and AVANTE Audio teams for this informal networking opportunity.

“Based on the success of AVANTE Audio’s Imperio Pro IMP205 ‘mini’ line array module last year, we are excited to debut the new larger format Imperio Pro IMP328 at NAMM 2024,” enthused AVANTE Audio’s Product Engineer, Tony Mirador. “The result of extensive R&D work, this new product offers incredible power, fidelity, and versatility from a compact and lightweight array module. Meanwhile, the new Imperio Pro IMP218 subwoofer has been carefully engineered as the perfect companion to the array module. Delivering thunderous output with phenomenal clarity, it shares the same sleek aesthetic and functional versatility. Together, the two models are a force to be reckoned with and I’m confident that they will turn more than a few heads at the show!”

AVANTE Audio’s Achromic Series of full range active speakers will be showcased on the exhibition floor at booth #10920, alongside products from sister companies ADJ Lighting and Eliminator Lighting.
