With their previous Hail To The King record cycle coming to an end, fans began to wonder what was next for the Californian five-piece. The result was a secret release of their seventh studio album, The Stage, which arguably stands as one of the most concept-driven albums ever attempted by the band, tackling issues such as artificial intelligence and the self-destruction of modern society. As the band pushed the boundaries of their musical material, it seemed fitting that the impending tour would follow suit.
