As the company approaches its 30th year, CAST Group continues its strategic expansion with a series of promotions and new hires, reinforcing its commitment to strengthen its sales force, advancing product development, and maintaining industry-leading customer support. This initiative, targeted at extending its influence across Europe and beyond, aims to create new avenues for creatives to harness the power of CAST’s award-winning products BlackTrax, wysiwyg, and Vivien.
Since joining in 2017 as BlackTrax Sales Specialist and quickly advancing to the role of Solutions Manager in 2021, Dekkar Densham has proven himself as an integral part of the team and an invaluable asset to the company. In this new capacity as Sales Manager, Dekkar will stand at the forefront of CAST’s sales strategy, creating a roadmap that sets new standards in real time tracking and drives innovation for Live Entertainment Technology. Leveraging his ability to connect real-time tracking applications to Live, Immersive and Interactive projects, Dekkar will lead initiatives to push BlackTrax, the real-time tracking solution, Vivien, the virtual event designer and wysiwyg the lighting previsualization products further than ever before.
Reflecting on his new role, Dekkar shared: “It’s an honour to step into the role as Sales Manager at CAST. Over the past several years, I’ve seen firsthand how the technology ecosystem has breathed new life into live shows and has equipped creatives with the power to transform what was originally set out to achieve. As industry-wide acceptance of tracking technologies is growing, I look forward to bringing BlackTrax confidently into even more use cases it was never conceived to handle when it was released over 10 years ago. There’s no denying that our community sits at the heart of all that we do at CAST, and in this new role, I hope to use this as a foundation to drive innovation further so that we can truly exceed the needs of our clients and make their lives easier.”
Having previously served as Manager Director at a rental company in Portugal, and as the former Marketing Manager at PROLIGHTS, David has become renowned for his ability to rejuvenate brands and develop strategies that successfully aid global expansion. Since graduating with a BSc in Live Event Technology, David Ferraz has continued to hold a remarkable career in strategic leadership and marketing, and hopes to bring this wealth of expertise to further strengthen and energise CASTS presence in the European and Latin American markets.
When asked about his decision to join CAST, David expressed, “I have always been drawn to CAST because of their ability to develop ground breaking technologies that truly enable creative output, placing them at the forefront of the industry. When the role occurred, I immediately saw the opportunity to contribute to an organisation that values innovation and pushes the boundaries of what’s possible. This is what initially sparked my interest and was a compelling factor for me.”
In this newly appointed position as International Business Manager, David will play a pivotal role in expanding CAST’s footprint in the European and Latin American markets and remains committed to illustrating how the company’s technology ecosystem seamlessly integrates into various areas within the creative industries, such as lighting, audio, projected video, and camera systems.
Speaking about the vision for his role and the products at CAST, David shared, “Having already witnessed CAST’s products in action, it’s clear that they stand as a beacon of innovation and it’s incredible to see. My vision is to not only lead the expansion of the products into new territories but help redefine what’s possible and set a precedent for the future of integrated creativity. Watch this space!”
