The CongressCentrum Pforzheim (CCP) has upgraded its modern event hall by investing in the F45 truss system from Global Truss. This strategic addition allows the CCP to offer greater flexibility in rigging options for events, such as sound systems and lighting equipment.
The F45 truss system, based on the F44P truss system, is distinguished by its high load capacity and represents an innovative advancement. Specifically designed for applications requiring centered suspension of LED screens, the F45 system offers numerous benefits: LED panels, line-array systems, or other technical equipment can be directly and securely attached to the central chord at the bottom, eliminating the need for traditional slings or support structures to create a central rigging point.
Its ladder-brace design provides additional space for suspending loads along the central chord and increases practicality compared to the outer chords. Another key advantage is the compatibility of the F45 truss system with all standard F44/F44P components, including sleeve blocks, enabling seamless integration into existing F44/F44P structures.
“For our Great Hall at the CCP, we were looking for a truss system that could centrally suspend the new line-array system installed this year, as well as other event technology used by touring productions and external service providers. With nearly 2,000 seats in rows and a flexible stage, the hall must meet the diverse requirements of events, congresses, and trade shows. The F45 truss system from Global Truss perfectly matched our expectations,” said Daniel Schuch, Sales Director at CongressCentrum Pforzheim.
In addition to the F45 system, Global Truss offers the smaller F35 five-chord truss, which can be integrated into F34/F34P truss constructions due to its size.
“With our two five-point systems, we provide users the capability to center-hang LED screens, sound systems, and other event equipment under the truss. The thicker wall thickness of the five-point systems also results in significantly higher load capacity and reduced deflection compared to traditional four-point systems,” stated Florian Schaaf, Managing Director of Global Truss.
