CAST Group of Companies introduced CONVRG, a new automated camera tracking software that empowers productions to utilise PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) to autonomously follow talent and/or objects in real time.
Unveiled at this year’s ISE show, this software has been designed to revolutionise camera movements, ensuring every moment is captured with unparalleled precision and artistry.
As a software extension to BlackTrax, CONVRG integrated into existing PTZ cameras while enhancing standard capabilities by automating zoom and focus, adding impact to every angle and close-up. Besides its integration into existing systems, CONVRG effortlessly connects with any PTZ camera supporting NDI HX, providing a wide range of possibilities for creatives in various locations, including TV Studios, Conference Rooms, Sports Stadiums, Live Events, and more.
From taking Extended Reality (xR) to new heights through its ability to attach virtual elements to moving subjects in a physical space, to its framing of talent, and consistent shots with every performance.
The combined power of PTZ Camera tracking with CONVRG allows BlackTrax to add to its suite of autonomous control methods such as automating the movement of lighting fixtures, media, spatial audio, and now PTZ cameras all simultaneously. CONVRG is currently compatible with various PTZ cameras in the Panasonic, Sony, and Canon range.
“CONVRG represents so much more than just introducing new software to the market; it’s the final piece that introduces this new level of camera control that was previously beyond reach. Through combining both BlackTrax and CONVRG into one cohesive software architecture, we’re not only continuing our mission to set new standards for Real-Time Tracking technology, but we’re ensuring accessing this level of precision and efficiency is in reach. Whether in the grandeur of large stadiums or the intimacy of small TV studios, our commitment is to provide productions with technology that flawlessly captures moments. The intelligent synergy between CONVRG and BlackTrax is undeniably transforming the approach to camera movements, and we’re excited to see how beneficial this new solution will be to our community,” commented Dekkar Densham, Sales Manager, CAST Group of Companies
