Global Motion celebrates 21 Years in live touring logistics

Global Motion is celebrating 21 years of independent operation, marking over two decades of delivering time-critical events for the live events and entertainment industry.

They’ve been instrumental in supporting Ed Sheeran’s mammoth Mathematics World Tour, and Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres – the most sustainable tour to date. “We do actively seek ways to shift moves to less fuel-intensive modes of transport,” Global Motion’s Managing Director Adam Hatton explained, “as a team, we’ve successfully reduced the need for aircraft charters where we can.”

“We’re a service provider, and we’re committed to finding the best possible way we can provide that service. We genuinely are 24/7. If you call my mobile at three in the morning, I will begrudgingly answer it. There are more generalised freight companies out there who work extremely efficiently between the hours of 9-5, but that’s just not the nature of our industry,” Hatton continued. “We understand the industry intrinsically, we speak the language, we understand the parameters of our client’s previous jobs and how they like things done. That’s what we’re about, making sure the client is getting exactly what they want.”

Global Motion’s success over the past two decades reflects the organisation’s core values of people-first service, innovation, and integrity. By prioritising strong relationships, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, Global Motion has built a legacy of trust and reliability. The senior management team are keen to build on this legacy, while ensuring the company and the industry’s future is in good hands.

Sara Gleadhall, Global Motion’s Commercial Manager, said, “This past year, we’ve really prioritised investing in the future—helping new talent find their way into the freight industry and showing the wide range of opportunities it offers. We’re committed to supporting educational initiatives, on our own and through the government-backed ‘Generation Logistics’ program.”

The company’s Project Manager John Corr has spoken to around 350 GCSE students at six schools in Kent, delivering sessions on STEM and actively promoting interest and drawing attention to freight forwarding as a viable career. “Freight isn’t a career pathway often considered by young people, even those studying Music & Business, Corr explained, “We’re not only showcasing the critical role logistics play in live events, we’re also working to bring in fresh perspectives and diverse new talent that will drive the future of freight forwarding. For that reason, it’s important to us that we’re engaging with students from a wide range of backgrounds.”

From its offices in London, Greater Manchester, LA, and Toronto with 15 full-time staff and multiple global agents, the company is able to offer air, sea and road freight services, freight charters, hand carry, storage and ATA carnets.

“Reaching this milestone is a true testament to our dedicated team, and I’m so grateful to the clients who trust us time, and again.” Hatton emphasised. “We’ve built some fantastic partnerships, and they’re what keep us going strong. A lot has changed in the industry in 21 years, and I imagine it will continue to, but our commitment to going that extra mile will never waver.”

“Here’s to many more years of supporting our clients and doing whatever it takes to get the job done,” Hatton concluded.
