KB Event has announced a £3.5 million investment in 15 brand-new Scania tractor units and Krone Mega Box Trailers ahead of what’s expected to be one of the company’s busiest summers to date.
The fleet expansion includes 11 new Scania R 500S tractor units and 4 new Scania R 590 V8 tractor units, designed specifically for the European Touring/Event market and fully compliant with the Euro six emissions regulations. The latest addition of these new vehicles sees KB Event operating fleet top 100 vehicles and trailers across its operations in the UK and EU.
With back-to-back festivals and tours already confirmed for Raye, Sam Fender, Gracie Abrams, The Stereophonics and Craig David, corporate events including CAMP and MWC, and on site and logistical management of Yungblud’s Bludfest, the new tractor units will play a key role in meeting the high demand for logistical support this year.
KB’s Managing Director, Richard Burnett, said: “This expansion allows us to continue providing seamless support to our long-standing artists while also welcoming new clients across festivals and tours. The demand for reliable and sustainable event transport is huge, and this investment ensures we remain at the forefront of the industry and ready to meet the challenges of the season ahead.”
