Neg Earth donates truck to British Ukrainian aid

Neg Earth Lights has announced its partnership with British Ukrainian Aid. (BUA) a UK registered charity.

Neg Earth will be donating a truck through the Donation scheme to support the valuable work of this charity.

Since it was permitted from 15 March 2024, British Ukrainian Aid (BUA) is operating the donation scheme with Transport for London (TfL) to donate vehicles to Ukraine through the ULEZ programme, where they would be used for medical and humanitarian purposes.

Whilst Neg Earth Lights is not eligible for the for the scrappage scheme, they have decided to purely donate a vehicle through the charity.

The donated vehicle is a Renault 16T rigid truck, the first of its kind to be contributed through this scheme

The trucks’ journey so far has been an adventurous one. Designed and built to our spec from new in 2015, it has travelled over one hundred thousand miles across most of Europe carrying its precious cargo to prestigious live events such as Rammstein, Iron Maiden, The Eurovision Song Contest, The Rolling Stones, ACDC and closer to home to the Glastonbury Festival every year since.

This vehicle will be instrumental in delivering essential humanitarian aid to those in need. In fact, Neg Earth Lights filled the truck before its departure with aid from 2 different charities, which meant the truck was filled to the brim with medical supplies and food.

On 25 July 2024, a convoy consisting of over 25 vehicles, including Neg Earth’s donated truck, will depart from London to provide vital support to communities in Ukraine.

In addition to donating, individuals and businesses can also participate in the Ultra-Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) scheme to contribute to the charitable efforts of British Ukrainian Aid.

Dave Ridgway commented: “I am thrilled to donate our truck to the British Ukrainian Aid and support their incredible work. We know this vehicle will help deliver much-needed aid to those in need in the Ukraine.” I wish BUA much success with the continuation of these important schemes. “

“We are happy to be donating our truck to such a deserving cause. We believe this is the perfect next journey for our vehicle. A truck that has travelled across Europe delivering to some of the biggest concerts over the past 9 years,” Dan Skinner added.
