PIXELSCREEN delivers an impressive LED display for Tomorrowland 2024, featuring INFiLED screens

Tomorrowland partners with PIXELSCREEN to develop a ProAV solution for the 2024 edition, incorporating INFiLED screens and 5G transmission from NovaStar, enhancing the visual experience for attendees.

In July 2024, Tomorrowland took place successfully at Belgium’s Provinciaal Recreatiedomein De Schorre. The Tomorrowland organisers partnered with PIXELSCREEN to develop a ProAV solution, which incorporated INFiLED screens and 5G transmission from NovaStar, enhancing the visual experience for attendees.

Celebrating its 20th anniversary with the theme ‘LIFE’, the event featured an exceptional lineup of artists, bringing a thrilling six-day celebration, captivating tens of thousands of fans from across the globe.

The ‘LIFE’ mainstage reaches an impressive height of 36 meters and spans 160 meters in width. It is adorned with 1600 square meters of video tiles, comprising 3136 individual tiles. Furthermore, the stage is outfitted with 230 speakers, subwoofers, and 1100 custom LED lights, delivering an extraordinary audiovisual spectacle for all participants.

First and foremost, the festival is renowned for its innovative and imaginative stage designs, which often feature unconventional shapes and layouts. This uniqueness poses a significant challenge when integrating LED screens seamlessly into these artistic setups.

Secondly, the festival organisers have set elevated expectations regarding visual effects. They seek stunning visuals that captivate the audience and enhance the performances significantly.

Lastly, the huge amount of work involved in the installation process cannot be overlooked. With a staggering total of 1,600 square meters of LED screens to be set up, the scale of the operation is immense.

To merge captivating melodies and dynamic rhythms with visually impressive effects, enhancing the excitement of the artists’ remarkable stage performances, the event organisers utilised ARmk2 series LED cabinets to construct screens of various shapes, along with the NovaStar COEX MX6000 Pro which offers 5G signal transmission.

Regarding professional visual equipment application, the ARmk2 series screens utilised on the stage featured a contrast ratio of 12000:1 and a brightness of 5000nit, guaranteeing optimal visibility for all attendees at the large outdoor festival venue. Moreover, these screens featured a high refresh rate of 3840Hz and vivid colours, providing a joyful visual experience for the music audience.

Alongside their exceptional display capabilities, the ARmk2 series cabinets come in size options of 500x1000mm and 500x500mm, allowing for the flexible installation of screens in various dimensions. The cabinets can be rapidly aligned and securely connected, simplifying the screen assembly process.

The alliance between PIXELSCREEN and INFiLED is born from a mutual commitment to pioneering advancements in display technology.
