RCF has announced a major revamp of its popular MR Monitor Series — upgrading the components to deliver an improved sound, while at the same time restyling the enclosures.
Housed in self-extinguishing plastic, the MR series was originally designed to deliver uncompromising audio performance and reliability in fixed installations where the speakers would blend with any décor and deliver deep bass, smooth midrange and finely-detailed high-frequency response.
Quality components and careful acoustic design make the Monitor Series a perfect choice for applications like speech and music reproduction in all; A/V applications, bars and restaurants, leisure hospitality, recreational facilities, theme parks, shopping malls or audio monitoring facilities of all kinds — both indoor and outdoor.
To accommodate such wide usage RCF has produced eight models — with different sizes and power handling, both with and without line transformer, and in a choice of black or white.
The new models are the RCF MR40/40T/40W/40TW 40 W 2-way bass reflex speakers and MR50/50T/50W/50TW 50 W 2-way bass reflex speakers. Unlike their predecessors, these are now sold in pairs, with special bracketry designed for wall mounting, either individually or in clusters of four.
All models use purpose designed 1-inch voice coil woofers and 0.8-inch voice coil dome tweeters, combined with RCF Low Inductance Compensated Crossover to assure exceptional audio performance and long-term reliability.
Other features of the RCF MR40 include passive filter 12 dB/octave, with crossover frequency 3kHz; bass reflex at 80 Hz, low impedance or constant voltage lines. The MR50 boasts similar specs but with bass reflex at 65 Hz.
