SLX has announced a raft of new client wins and ongoing partnerships that underscore the company’s commitment to excellence and innovation.
The Bristol-based B Corp has expanded its state-of-the-art lighting to well-known names in the theatre, culture and entertainment. Following a successful run supplying the rig for the West End production SIX The Musical since 2018, SLX is working on the hit show for its international tour. The company is also providing technical expertise working on the Hear You Come Again UK Tour.
Long running partnerships are continuing with the Welsh National Opera and English Touring Opera for their forthcoming productions. This summer SLX has been providing rigging for renowned venues at the 2024 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, including The Underbelly and Grange Fest at The Stand.
“2024 is proving to be a big year for us. We have been able to expand our offerings across various cultural, arts and heritage events and venues – both large and small scale,” SLX CEO Alastair Currie commented. “This has only been possible with the hard work and commitment to excellence of the team. This year’s growth demonstrates our desire to lead the industry, not just with technical expertise and innovation, but also in doing business responsibly and ensuring a focus on sustainable practices.”
In addition to its theatre and cultural event offerings, SLX has also grown to cater live events in corporate and heritage venues. Client wins include Dick Lovett and Porsche, and the Royal Horticultural Society. The SLX team will also be working on the upcoming B Corp Louder Than Words Event taking place in September in Oxford as part of its commitment to working with fellow B Corp businesses to bring the event together. SLX will also be providing B Lab with a full environmental impact report following the event.
The company also kicked one of its biggest ever projects as an Official Supporter of Broadcast Lighting and Rigging for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. SLX provided its services to light up 29 outer Paris venues.
SLX has consistently grown since the pandemic and is on track to achieve £30 million in revenue by 2030. This comes following increased investment in emerging new technologies and a commitment to maintain its status as the highest rated B Corp in the industry. All SLX delivery vehicles now run on HVO fuel (an alternative to diesel) and over 50% of the firm’s energy at its head office comes from solar sources.
