Current RMS strengthens its position with the recent acquisition by UK-based software company Kerridge Commercial Systems (KCS).
KCS is a supplier of software to wholesalers, merchants and other distributive businesses, also acquiring sister company inspHire, a premium supplier of software to companies in the equipment rental industry.
Over 15,000 companies globally use solutions provided by KCS, including fully integrated ERP systems comprising supply chain management, financial accounting, CRM, warehouse and transport management, eCommerce, ePOS and business intelligence. The acquisition of both Current-RMS and inspHire will allow KCS to strengthen its presence within the rental industry, offering additional functionality to its UK and global customer base.
Current-RMS will continue to operate as an independent business within KCS, with the acquisition bringing a wealth of opportunity to the cloud-based rental management software. KCS will be investing in the future development of the Current RMS software, which will remain tailored to the needs of the AV, production and events industries that we serve, as well as maintaining and supporting us in future business decisions. This means that Current RMS users can look forward to seeing more of their requested features, benefitting your day to day rental operations.
“I’m delighted that a company as prestigious and well regarded as KCS Group has chosen to invest in Current RMS. We’ve achieved so much in the four years since we launched and through this acquisition we’ve now got the backing and scale to accelerate product development and global reach, whilst remaining the Current RMS our users love,” said Chris Branson, Managing Director of Current RMS.
The teams at Current RMS and inspHire will remain exactly the same – the same developers, the same management and the same friendly support. This recent acquisition signals an exciting time for both companies, with benefits that will reach our customers directly.
