LED screen experts digiLED launched the first in a series of three education days at its renowned LED showroom, The Pixel Depot.
With 100% attendance and two further fully reserved days already in the calendar for 2016, the demand by AV integrators for more information about how to handle enquiries for LED screens seems apparent.
The level one foundation course was designed to start the LEDucation of AV integration experts, who are already selling complex multi-technology solutions to end users, but have previously had little or no exposure to LED displays.
The aim of the foundation course is to transfer the knowledge to both specify the technology and demonstrate expertise by being able to fully answer their clients’ questions. Developed with specialist AV distributors AVM, and entitled ’20 Great Questions To Ask’, the course guided attendees through the key information that is needed to professionally specify and quote a complete turn-key LED screen installation.
The level one course is designed for sales people, technical pre-sales and technicians. Levels two and three offer more in-depth technical instruction with hands on experience, including building an LED screen wall and troubleshooting, as well as examining the theory behind LED driver technology and a host of other components.
The Pixel Depot in Surrey is home to over 20 different LED screens on permanent display and Europe’s biggest showroom of its kind. The first LEDucation course was hosted by Jon Perkins, Group Technical Sales Manager, and speakers included digiLED CEO Graham Burgess, Commercial Director Guy Horrigan and Technical Director Tom Mudd.
Horrigan said: “We are experts in the design, manufacture, installation and implementation of LED systems. However, with the number of enquires for LED screens it is impossible for us to address them all. This is why we have chosen to utilise a distribution model, and part of our commitment to digiLED integrators is that we will support them in all aspects of their LED business.
“Whether this is training, sales support, drawings, renderings, site visit or technical support, they can expect to have a digiLED expert assisting them. AV integrators know their clients and their needs, our job is to make selling easier and support them into the future.”
Kelly Parker at AVMi said of her day: “The Pixel Depot is a great venue, being able to see so many screen options all at once is really useful, I will definitely be bringing customers here. The day itself has been really informative, and I’ve certainly learnt a great deal.”
Demand for the course has been running high and the next two dates are already fully booked.
