LIVE has announced the finalists of an inaugural awards ceremony, which celebrates individuals and companies across the UK’s live music sector.
The LIVE Awards will celebrate the highs of the year and toast the endurance of the sector, which has recently weathered the dual battles of Brexit and COVID-19, across a range of award categories focused on celebrating the success of the UK’s live music sector.
Across the 14 categories, over 80 finalists include the likes of AEG Europe, OVO Hydro, Sound City Liverpool, The Royal Albert Hall, DHP Family, The Association of Black Event Professionals, The Leadmill, and Ticketmaster.
The winners will be announced on 13 December at The Brewery in London, serving as an end of year celebration for all those responsible for stages, venues and festivals across the UK. Judged by a panel of industry professionals, the awards will be presented in front of an invited industry audience, with hundreds expected to attend. Tickets are also on sale now on the awards website.
Jon Collins, LIVE CEO said: “We have been delighted with the depth and breadth of the nominations sent in for this, the first LIVE Awards. They reflect the fact that, despite all the challenges we face, our sector truly is world-class. We now hand the tricky decision of selecting our winners over to our panel of judges. While they deliberate, we can get on with putting together a memorable evening. With free drinks all night, a five-star dinner, after party, and proceeds supporting the ongoing work of LIVE, there are plenty of reasons to be there.”
LIVE looks forward to welcoming the breadth of the industry to the event in December, to reflect on several tough years, acknowledge the complexity, challenges and opportunities of 2022 and look forward to a bumper year of concerts, gigs, festivals, and tours in 2023.
