Jazz giants Leszek Możdżer and the Wojtek Mazolewski Quintet have embarked on Arena Kultury – a series of events, concerts, exhibitions and fairs, staged at the Polsat Plus Arena in Gdańsk, Poland.
The stadium typically accommodates 40,000 spectators. However, given COVID-19 protocols a new stage, built close to the grandstands, doubles as a special intimate ‘venue’ created, for less than 800 people to enjoy a safe, socially-distanced concert performance.
Gdynia-based Art Music provided a full complement of NEXO main PA and monitoring systems, using a multi-model design to deliver sound.
The main PA system boasts 11 NEXO GEO S12 line array modules per side, flying close to lines of eight GEO S8 compact modules for outfill. A total of eight CD18 subbass cabinets are groundstacked left and right of the stage. While NEXO GEO M6 compact line array modules are used for centre fill and front fill.
With such a widespread audience area, there is a need for far outfill, and for this purpose, Art Music supplied PS15-R2s, most of which can be found in a special VIP zone. PS Series cabinets were also used onstage for monitoring.
