Polish PA company, Craftman, bought an Allen & Heath dLive digital mixing system to manage its events calendar, which recently included several key festivals. The system, comprising a S7000 Surface with DM64 MixRack, was employed for various projects, including the World Youth Days in Krakow, and the Summer Jazz Days and Jazz in the Old Town events in Warsaw.
Krakow became host city for World Youth Days, a huge event for young Christians organised every few years in different locations. Thousands gather from across the globe for celebratory concerts and services, and there is a special visit by the Pope. Craftman was appointed to deliver and operate sound systems in three locations in the city, selecting dLive as the FOH console at the historic Wolnica square, where various choirs, orchestras and bands performed.
In Warsaw, Craftman’s dLive was used as the FOH console for the open air Jazz in the Old Town festival, and monitor console at Summer Jazz Days, a globally-renowned contemporary jazz festival, featuring international and local talent.
“dLive is definitely one of the most intuitive and user-friendly mixers on which I have had the opportunity to work. Its great capabilities, open architecture, full configurability of the interface, and above all, the ease and speed of operation, makes it the perfect tool to implement complex live projects. Another nice little fact: dLive has excellent, warm and saturated sound!” said Craftman Sound Engineer, Tomasz Dudar.
