Along with audio, lighting, video, and mobile stage production, Ready Or Not also design and install corporate AVL systems. President of Ready or Not Inc., Lee Shealy, made the decision to expand his inventory with the purchase of an al-8 acoustic linearity line array with hs-221 subs as he was extremely impressed with the sound quality and level of support VUE provides.
The al-8 array has allowed Ready Or Not to cover much larger venues such as their local arena that seats just over 3,500. The first event with their VUE al-8 rig was a New Year’s Eve event in Tallapoosa, GA where the expected crowd was 2500 but attracted an attendance of almost 7000 people. The al-8 arrays had no problem covering the larger-than-expected crowd where the sound was described as “remarkable”. And when CMT’s Redneck Island reality show cast member- turned country singer, Riley Green, came to play the local arena, Ready or Not were there with their VUE al-8 line array making big impressions on Green’s FOH engineer.
Shealy summed up his company’s overall experience with VUE, “The consistency of sound color (tone) from small to large format was impressive. The big boxes are louder and a bit more “in your face” but as a whole, the entire line is very balanced and musical. I get the “musical” remark a lot from audio engineers.”
Having established a strong track record at their local arena and various outdoor events, Shealy and his Ready Or Not crew are set for a strong summer concert season.
