White Light has announced the appointment of Tom Wilkes as Business Development Manager.
In his new role, Wilkes will focus predominantly on managing the hire aspects of the various markets in which White Light works. He commented: “I am absolutely delighted to be joining White Light at such an exciting time. Whether it’s corporate events, broadcast, education, trade, retail, or themed attractions, we have a strong reputation in each of these fields and this is something I will be looking to further strengthen.”
Wilkes joins from Vision SL, the technical production company he founded in 2009. Vision SL began by supplying lighting and audio to various bars and clubs, before progressing into supplying events and festivals and going on to specialise in video projection and LED mapping.
Due to Tom’s involvement, Vision SL will become part of White Light.
“Joining White Light seemed like the next natural step for both myself and Vision SL as a company,” said Wilkes. “We are aware of White Light’s position in the video mapping industry, from their work on ITV Sport broadcasts to their recent investment in the Christie Boxer Projectors. Their desire to invest in the latest technology and provide their customers with the very best service possible reflects the values of Vision SL.”
Wilkes will be part of the White Light team present at this year’s PLASA Show at Olympia London, which takes place on 18 to 20 September. White Light will be showcasing on Stand G40.
Bryan Raven, White Light’s Managing Director, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have Tom joining the team here at White Light. The enthusiasm and experience he has will prove vital and we’re looking forward to him nurturing our existing relationships as well as developing new ones.”
