ER Productions is pleased to announce that its Kinekt laser fixture was awarded a PLSN Gold Star Award for Best Laser Product 2018, presented during the LDI show in Las Vegas last month.
Every September the PLSN team meet with writers, lighting designers, set designers and directors to review various new products in the live entertainment industry. The winning products are selected from hundreds that they view to be exceptional pieces of technology over the year.
Launched in 2017, Kinekt was the world’s first modular laser system. Kinekt is a small, lightweight, modular scanning laser. As it connects on both X and Y axis, it’s very versatile, and can create an endless array of laser scanned effects, as long or as wide as the stage or venue will allow, in any direction.
The mounting system and brackets have been designed to enable connection to another Kinekt unit on any side of the fixture, which means any shape can be created, including squares, crosses, circles etc…The connections on the Kinekt allow for simple in and out daisy chain connection, and it comes with an in-built FB4 control and can by operated via DMX, Art-Net and Beyond.
ER Productions have been designing and manufacturing their own laser products since 1995, and have the largest laser collection in the world. Taking a creative approach means they can stay ahead of their competitors by providing bespoke visual solutions for their clients.
“When we set out to develop Kinekt, we wanted to design an array fixture that wasn’t restricted to either a horizontal or vertical axis and could be used modularly, allowing us to create different shapes and forms, some of which were not achievable until now.”says Ryan Hagan, co-founder of ER Productions
He went on to say, “We are delighted to receive the award in recognition of the success of this product. Kinekt has proved really popular since its launch and we look forward to continuing using it to its full capability in upcoming projects.”
Kinekt can be seen in action for projects with Robbie Williams, Vasco Rossi, Axwell ^ Ingrosso, Royal Blood, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Creamfields Steelyard and Parklife
